About this class:
This class explores the practice of asana as a meditation in motion. It asks how do we feel our way into form from the inside out? We will examine how to create seamless flow within asana and vinyasa using sun salutations as our base and focusing on transitions within the practice as key moments of learning.
Along the way, we will visit fascia as a fluid and examine how fascia is dynamic, elastic, continuous, and gel-like. The absence of internal glide creates muscle knots, tension and a dull, stagnant feeling in the body. When you learn to embody your innate fluidity, movement becomes juicy, adaptable and fun. A more fluid consciousness also allows many students tap into a deep well of personal creativity.
Come play, move, put a spring in your step and a smile on your face. This class includes movement inquiry, embodied anatomy, developmental movement, yoga asana, somatics, breathwork, and guided relaxation.
